Book Thirteen:
Smugglers
an unwanted reunion – plus the novella: Istanbul Intrigue
Jack and Jenny walk through Hong Kong’s Chek Lap Kok International Airport, having arrived for a week of sightseeing. Twenty-two years ago, Jack and Jenny Carlton encountered smugglers embroiling them in a diamond adventure. Revisiting these exciting memories, they each bring one of their children.

Through the youthful eyes of Jachike, the story unfolds. The adventure begins as a young girl collides with his Uncle Jack. As the foursome leave the airport they bounce through Mui Wo, Central Hong Kong, Aberdeen, Lamma Island, and an abandoned industrial park. Each step brings new danger, bravery, and a growing trust in Jesus.
The Casey family (Walter, Jenny, Jachike, and Haley) have drifted in their journey of faith with Jesus. Will Jenny and her son Jachike experience the love of Jesus despite difficult circumstances? Facing real-life difficulties, the ‘easy Christian answers’ are failing to satisfy their hurts and disappointments. How will the dangers they face attempting to help Annika draw them closer to God?
